OFFstep submitted a claim on my behalf for a YouTube video. What should I do?

Once your track is distributed to YouTube, the platform activates a tool called Content ID that will track copies of that specific track. Therefore, any video containing the audio you’ve distributed will be claimed. The claims protect you, the artist, from unauthorized copies of your songs, and prevents unauthorized  channels from monetizing your content. Also, this process directs the video’s revenue to your OFFstep account.

If a channel has authorization and you want to allow the channel to monetize their video (release the claim), please contact us by submitting a ticket requesting the claim be removed. Please note that once the claim is removed, we will no longer collect revenue from that specific video.

Please keep in mind that Youtube Claim Removal is only available on the Advanced plan
