My song was removed due to “abnormal streaming activity”. What does this mean?

Abnormal streaming activity can be the result of paid or free promotion through a third-party service, your release(s) being added to playlists with fake listeners, the use of bots, or systematically putting the song on repeat.

Albums that reach a certain threshold of abnormal activity or non-organic plays can be penalized by the platforms, which could entail either removing the album from platforms or blocking your account altogether. For this reason, OFFstep can decide to preemptively remove the content.
