Why isn’t the name of my song displayed in the video’s description on YouTube?

The information listed in a video’s description on YouTube is called “licensing information” and is enabled whenever a video is claimed by OFFstep on YouTube. There are several reasons why the name of your song might not be included in a video description. Some such reasons include the following:

  1. A claim was made, but it’s currently inactive.
  2. YouTube couldn’t find any correspondence between the video’s audio and your distributed soundtrack.
  3. The track is not in YouTube’s database.
  4. The track has not been authorized to claim videos.

If you believe this is a mistake and that your song name should be displayed in the video’s description, please submit a support ticket and send a request through the “Other Issues” tab.
