Why isn’t the name of my song displayed in the video’s description on YouTube?
The information listed in a video’s description on YouTube is called “licensing information” and is enabled whenever a video is claimed by OFFstep on YouTube. There are several reasons why the name of your song might not be included in a video description. Some such reasons include the following:
- A claim was made, but it’s currently inactive.
- YouTube couldn’t find any correspondence between the video’s audio and your distributed soundtrack.
- The track is not in YouTube’s database.
- The track has not been authorized to claim videos.
If you believe this is a mistake and that your song name should be displayed in the video’s description, please submit a support ticket and send a request through the “Other Issues” tab.
